Juanita Gene (Harrell) Meacham departed this life on October 27, 2024, at the age of 98, at the River Valley Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. Born on June 9, 1926, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, to Charles and Lorena (Landers) Harrell, she graduated from Clinton High School in 1944. Juanita married the love of her life, Cecil “Zeke” Meacham and was the proud mother of two children, Toni and Randy. Her professional career included positions at NB Nash/JC Penney’s and a 29-year tenure at Oklahoma Bank and Trust Co., where she retired as a loan teller in 1988.

kindness. Known for her deep and abiding faith in the power of prayer, Juanita approached life with a spiritual conviction that influenced not only her own journey but also touched the hearts of those around her.
Her warm demeanor was one of her most distinguishing traits, effortlessly turning strangers into cherished friends. Whether in a casual encounter at a local restaurant or a formal gathering, Juanita had a unique ability to connect with others on a personal level.
She had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel at home, creating an atmosphere of comfort and belonging.
Juanita’s kindness was a hallmark of her character. She had an innate grace about her, showcasing her beauty not just in appearance, but in the depths of her compassion and empathy. Her acts of kindness, both big and small, left lasting impressions on the lives she touched.
Whether it was through a thoughtful gesture, a comforting word, or simply being present in someone’s time of need, Juanita embodied the essence of what it meant to be a caring and nurturing person.
A devoted member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 75 years, Juanita served in various roles and was honored in 2022 when the church library was dedicated in her name.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Zeke, daughter Toni, son-in-law James Shelton, brother Robert Harrell, sister Madonna Glover, and great-great granddaughter Elise Shelton.
Juanita is survived by her son Randy and his wife Sharon of Clinton, along with eight grandchildren: Jim Shelton and wife Debra of Geary; Cindy Goossen and husband Todd; Meg Hook and husband Terry; Russ Meacham and wife Desiree; Ryan Meacham and wife Kim; all of Clinton; Meredith Wilson and husband Scott of Edmond; Todd Frizzell and wife Ann of Mustang; Gregg Frizzell of OKC, 18 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-greatgrandchildren, with another on the way.
Her service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Bowman Vowell, and Dale Nease officiating. Burial will follow in the Parkersburg Cemetery, and under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
