Linda Fergason, age 79, of Tuttle passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024.
Linda Sue Mosburg was born on June 29, 1944 in Clinton, Oklahoma, the 4th of 6 children born to Wallace Owen Mosburg and Mildred Alma Vivian (Walsh). She was raised on a farm in rural Custer/ Weatherford area, and attended school in Custer graduating with the Panther Class of 1962. While in school, she was introduced to a young man named, Howard Dean Fergason. As the story goes, Howard skipped a fishing trip and was promised to meet a pretty date at his cousin’s birthday party. Linda and Howard instantly hit it off and fell in love quickly. The couple married on May 25, 1962 and they shared 61 wonderful years together. Linda was driven and dedicated to working hard every single day. She was employed as a Licensing Cashier for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for over 20 years, before eventually retiring.
Linda was a one-ofa- kind woman, with a very caring and nurturing heart. She was also extremely thorough, dedicated, meticulous and orderly. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed planting flowers and tending to her garden, traveling, and collecting dolls. She also was an excellent cook, most famously known for her delicious chocolate cake. It was made from scratch with love every time. More than anything, Linda was a family woman. She loved to chase her grandkids and greatgrandkids around to each of their activities. Whether it was watching them play basketball, baseball, track, drama, or band, she was always their number one supporter. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, Meme, sister, and a true friend.
