Funeral Services for Maria Palacios, 86, Clinton resident, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 23, 2019, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Elder Freddy Dominquez. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Maria N. (Esparza) Palacios was born September 8, 1933, to Manuel and Bernabe (Mendez) Esparza in Durango, Mexico, and passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, in the Clinton Therapy and Living Center in Clinton, OK.

Maria was raised in Mexico and attended school in Durango. She married Francisco Palacio in October 1951. They made their home in Mexico until coming to the U.S. in 1993, and lived in Odessa, TX. In 2013 they moved to Clinton, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Magdalena Rodriguez, two sisters, Ines Esparza and Amada Esparza, and a brother, Ventura Mendez.

She was a Jehovah’s Witness. She loved to sing, work in her flowers, crochet and she loved to cook for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Francisco, Clinton, OK; daughters, Martha Hernandez, Maria Galindo, Odessa, TX, Socorro Perez, Clinton, OK, Mayela Hinojos, Odessa, TX, Sanjuana Gonzales, Waco, TX, Maria Gonzales, Clinton, OK, and Lucy Adame, Odessa, TX; and two sons, Francisco J. Palacios, Clinton, OK, and Manuel A. Palacios, Odessa, TX.

She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
