Michael M. “Mike” Deimund of Arcadia, OK, was reunited with his parents and a niece in heaven on March 23, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mike was born on July 15, 1960, to Don and Mildred Deimund in Clinton, OK.

Mike was an Air Force brat, having lived in many states across the U.S., and even including a three-year stint in Wiesbaden, Germany. Mike’s parents retired in Clinton, OK, where Mike then graduated as Valedictorian from Clinton High School in 1978 and Summa Cum Laude from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK, in 1982.

Mike enjoyed a long career in chemistry, working as a chemist and engineer for a variety of companies over the years across Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana, before eventually retiring from Kodak Polychrome Graphics in Weatherford, OK. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Tennessee and purchased some land where he began farming and ranching.

An active and avid outdoorsman, Mike was nearly always enjoying nature – be it while running, riding his motorcycle, bass fishing, or hunting. As a runner, Mike ran several marathons, half marathons, and Tough Mudder events. Mike enjoyed cross-country motorcycle trips with his brothers and favorite uncle JP Brehm. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting on local farm ponds and his land in both Oklahoma and Tennessee.

When not tending to his land, he also traveled extensively both across the U.S. and across the world. Even through all of his adventures, he could never quite get the red Oklahoma dirt off of his boots, and in 2023, he returned to Oklahoma full-time to be closer to his friends, family, and most importantly, his grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Mildred Deimund, and niece, Brette Deimund. He is survived by his sons Mark Deimund and wife Emily of Houston, TX, Matt Deimund and wife Paige of Richardson, TX, and Jared Deimund and wife Allison of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Hallie, Jake, Sydney, Ben, Liam, and Lorelai; as well as brother Richard Deimund and wife Marcea of Cimarron, KS, and brother Tim Deimund and wife Debbie of Arcadia, OK.

The family has kindly requested that any donations be made to the Oklahoma Wildlife Management Association.

Services are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
