Mildred Anna (Gregory) Brown, daughter of Glenn Eugene Gregory and Beulah Viola Lawerence Gregory began her earthly journey at Lenora, OK. on February 7, 1931. She completed her journey on September 6, 2021 at Vici, OK. at the age of 90. She grew up on the family farm helping to care for her brothers and sisters and attended the Pleasant Ridge country school southeast of Vici, OK. through the eighth grade.
On November 26, 1950, Mildred was united in marriage to Jackie Martin Brown at the Methodist Church in Vici, OK. Their union was a partnership of nearly 71 years. They first lived on the family farm near Vici before moving to Friona, TX. and Balko, OK., returning to Vici and the farm in 1965. Their home was blessed with three sons, Joe, Larry and Martin.
Mildred was a farm wife, a loving Mother, a homemaker and she enjoyed being a grandmother. She was an accomplished seamstress and did needlework of all kinds making numerous keepsakes for her family. She was a woman of strong faith, baptized at the age of twelve and was a faithful member of the South Persimmon Baptist Church. She attended services and was involved in church activities everywhere they called home. She served as a Sunday school teacher, training union teacher and Baptist women’s director.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Beulah Gregory, five sisters Athol Gregory, Emma Jean Freeman, Charlene Mcginnes and twins Uneta Parks and Uleta Nielsen and her twin brothers Clyde Gregory and Carl Gregory and other loved ones.
Mildred is survived by her beloved husband, Jackie Brown of Vici, OK., her sons, Joe Brown and wife Vayda of Arapaho, OK., Larry Brown and wife Martha of Oklahoma City, OK., and Martin Brown and wife Roxane of Canute, OK. Five grandchildren, Sam Brown, Chara Brown, Christopher Brown, Sheila Brown and Laci Pool and twelve great grands. Her siblings, Glendene Landers, Robert Gregory and wife Roberta. Sister in law, Inez Gregory, brother in law Ray Freeman, other relatives and friends.
