Patricia Ann (Smith) Kolb went to be with the Lord Monday morning, April 26, 2021. Patricia was born on September 7, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Richard and Bessie Smith.
Patricia had 6 sisters. She graduated from Clinton High School In 1971 and attended SWOSU in Weatherford, where she received a Bachelor of Science in art Education.
Patricia attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Clinton. She did many paintings for her sisters and she also did a Noah’s Ark mural for the church in the children’s classrooms. She did a pencil print of the preacher and his grandchildren.
Patricia worked at the VA in Clinton until her retirement. She was the Secretary to the Director of Nursing. She married Phillip “Buddy” Kolb on November 8, 1969, in her hometown.
They had two children. Jason Aaron Kolb born in 1973 and Darron Joseph Kolb born in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jason Aaron Kolb 2012, her nephew Bobby Dean Bond 2003 and grandniece Harper Antonia Scibelli 2009, and brother-in-law Kevin Udell Franklin 2016.
She is survived by her husband Buddy of 51 years and son Darron Joseph Kolb of Alva, and two grandsons Jon Phillip and Samuel Houston, six sisters Glenda Herrman Of Michigan, Carol Ritchey of Oklahoma City, Linda Dawson of Oklahoma City, Lue Franklin Of Kansas, Sue Bond of Bessie and Connie Smith of Oklahoma City.
She passed away in the ICU of St Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She died on April 26, 2021, at the age of 67. Graveside services were held on April 28, 2021 in Arapaho, Ok.
We love her dearly and miss her intensely, but because of her hope and trust in Jesus, it’s not “goodbye” but “see you later.” Romans 8:37-39.
