Funeral services for Robert Lee Penner, 79 year-old Weatherford resident, will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at Crosspointe Church in Weatherford with Randy White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Robert was born on June 21, 1942, in Clinton, OK to Arthur Lee and Clara Mae (Penny) Penner and passed away October 27, 2021, at St Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Robert was raised and attended school in Custer City, OK where he graduated from Custer City High School in 1960. On September 5, 1963, Robert married the love of his life, Leona Echols, in Clinton, OK and made their home in Weatherford, OK. Robert worked for A.J Sawatzky for a couple of years before venturing out on his own-creating Penner Plumbing and Electric. He continued working and enjoyed helping others until his untimely passing. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always working, helping others and his church life.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Laura Hopper and her husband, Mike of Weatherford, Jana Hodge and her husband, Dean of Moore; a son, Robby Penner and his wife, Tori of Fay; a brother, Garry Penner and his wife, Donna of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Darlene Moore of Fayetteville, TN; sixteen grandchildren; twelve greatgrandchildren; and family friends, Karen Mason and her husband, Jim of Roosevelt, OK and Chuck Franz of Weatherford, OK.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Glenda Briesch and Dorothy Pieper; two brothers, Mike Penner and Art Penner; and two daughters, Carol Patterson and one in infancy.
