Rubye Grant Wright, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully May 24, 2021.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park at Fort Worth, Texas.

Rubye was born July 19, 1924 in Arapaho, Oklahoma to John Henry and Ethel Allen Grant. She was raised in Arapaho and was a majorette in the high school marching band. In 1943, she married Clifford L. Wright, an officer in the Air Corps.

They moved many times finally settling in White Settlement where Clifford found a job at Consolidated Aircraft after the war. They raised five children and lived together for 40 years before his death.

Rubye loved to garden, cook and play with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and kept an immaculate house. She was a longtime member of Birchman Baptist Church. Her children adored her. She was loved by all who knew her.

Rubye was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lee Wright and daughter, Pamela Jane Neill.

Survivors: Janet Williams (Jim), Gary L. Wright (Catherine), Deborah Browning (Dennis) and Kathryn Wright; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
