A Chapel Service for Shona Ousley, 50, Cordell resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Rick Vermillion and Devon Mitchell. Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Shona Dale Ousley was born August 25, 1972, to James Ousley and Debra (Bowlin) Ousley in Blythe, CA and passed away Friday August 26, 2022, in the Oklahoma University Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Shona was raised in Butler where she graduated high school in 1990. She worked as Certified Medical Aide at the United Methodist Nursing Home or the Veterans Center in Clinton.
Those that knew Shona, knows she loved her children and grandchildren as well as frogs, the Cordell High School Marching Band, the Band Boosters, and the Oklahoma University Football team. She enjoyed watching television and especially “Big Brother” and sitting on the front porch and visiting with Lora or her best friend.
Shona was not a fancy type person; therefore, the family has requested those attending her funeral service not dress up formally but to simply wear a frog, a Cordell Blue Devils’ shirt, Oklahoma University shirt or a shirt from one of your favorite teams. This would have made Shona very happy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dawson Sparks, grandparents, Ernest and Gervis Ousley and George Bowlin and Robert and Melba Rinebold. Family friend Alan Dowdy-Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, Makayla Taylor, Clinton and Maddison Newman and husband, Ethan, Cordell, OK, two sons, Dakota Sparks, Clinton and Dalton Sparks, Cordell, OK, parents, James and Debra Ousley, Cordell, sister, Tammy Mitchell and husband, Vanoy, Cordell and brother, Michael Ousley, Cordell and Best Friends Lora and Scott Dixon and Kenny Wilson.
