Funeral Services for Vee Borchers, 100, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 24, 2020, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Vee Mona Borchers was born April 14, 1919, to Charles and Allie (Dearing) Combs in Thomas, Oklahoma, and passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020, in the Angelwood Assisted Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Vee was raised in Thomas, Oklahoma, and graduated from Thomas High School. She was married to August Borchers. She had been a waitress in several restaurants in the Clinton area, most recently at Wong’s. She waited tables until she was in her 90s. At the time of her death she was a resident of the Angelwood Assisted Living Center.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed handwork and crocheting.
Vee was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Kathy Ernst-Cobb.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Dodd and wife Nancy, Phoenix, Ariz., and Chuck Dodd, San Jose, Calif.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Mark Cobb and wife Jennifer, and Brian Cobb, all of Butler, Christy Apponte and husband Bob, California, Beverly Reider and husband, Steve, Oregon, Sherry Buisch and husband, Ed, California, and Keri Frye and husband, Jeff, Arizona; and numerous great-grandchildren.
