Wanda Louise (Raimer) Travis was born September 23, 1933 in Butler to Robert and Bessie (Morgan) Raimer and passed away Friday October 23, 2020 in the Weatherford Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Wanda was raised in Clinton where she graduated from Clinton High School. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a fine arts degree. She taught High School Art Class at Arkansas, Kansas. Wanda married J.D. Travis on March 1, 1972 in Wheeler, Texas.
She was a member of the Clinton’s First United Methodist Church and attended the Chapel Hill Methodist Church. Wanda was a “Pink Lady” and spent many hours volunteering at the Clinton Hospital; loved painting; gardening and she enjoyed helping J.D. around the farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Martha Raimer, and a son Glenn L. Watson, stepson, Johnny Travis.
She is survived by her husband, J.D. Travis of the home, a daughter Sharon Eatson-White and her husband Wiley, Norman, OK; two step-children, D’Lese Travis, Weatherford, OK and Deck Travis and his wife, Linda, Conway, AR; two sisters Joyce McReynolds and her husband Tom, Choctaw, OK, Roberta Browning, Clinton, OK.
She is also survived by a grandson Christopher Watson and his wife Therese, of Tulsa, two step-grandchildren, Dillon and wife Amanda of Hydro, OK and Emily Travis Houston, TX and a great-granddaughter, Mad’Lynn.
