Services for Joan Calkins, 89, of Taloga, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at the Lenora United Methodist Church.

Services for Bill Barrick, 86, of Arapaho, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at the Cornerstone Church in Clinton.

Funeral Services for Willie Allen, 72, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 13, 2021, in the HOST Ministries Church officiated by Pastors Leonard and Wilma Jackson and Brother Billy Mucker. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Mildred Anna (Gregory) Brown

Mildred Anna (Gregory) Brown, daughter of Glenn Eugene Gregory and Beulah Viola Lawerence Gregory began her earthly journey at Lenora, OK. on February 7, 1931. She completed her journey on September 6, 2021 at Vici, OK. at the age of 90. She grew up on the family farm helping to care for her brothers and sisters and attended the Pleasant Ridge country school southeast of Vici, OK. through the eighth grade.

Nola “Beth” (Pitzer) Edmonson

Nola “Beth” (Pitzer) Edmonson went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Beth was born to Noah and Sarah Pitzer on September 20, 1927 in Cordell, OK. She married William Franklin Edmonson on January 1, 1947. Grandma Beth, as she was known by many, loved with her whole heart and demonstrated her love for Jesus through her daily interactions with others. She was faithful to her church as a volunteer and a prayer warrior. She was also faithful to friends and family with cards or other recognition in times of sadness as well as celebration. Beth is survived by her children, Christopher Wynn Edmonson and wife Marilyn of Glenpool, OK and Cynthia Lynn Timmons and husband Tim of Norman, OK. Sisters in law, Oma June Pitzer of Foss OK, Mildred Wood of Sayre, OK, and Leona Alexander of Watonga, OK. Grandsons, Sean Kight and wife Susan of Norman, OK and Stephen Edmonson of OKC. Granddaughters, Cindy Hunter and husband Jackie of Dickson, OK, Stephanie Dooley and husband Wil of Colleyville, TX, Christy McFarland and husband Luke of Edmond, OK, and Robin McIntyre and husband David of N. Richland Hills, TX. Beth graduated from Southwestern State College and later the University of Oklahoma where she received her Masters degree in counseling. Beth went on to be a teacher, a counselor and administrator. She also worked for the state in Vocational Rehabilitation and she also sponsored international students through Academic Year in America for over 10 years. She was a woman of service and a woman of faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful friend and a grandmother to far more than her 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed, but we can hold tight to the knowledge that we will see her again.

Funeral services for Jack James Taylor, 75 year-old Weatherford resident, were held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Weatherford with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for retired U.S. Army First Sergeant Virgil L. Thomas, 88, Clinton resident were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial followed in the Chapel Hill Cemetery with military honors and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
