Clinton secures semifinal spots

A quarterfinals’ wall kept the Clinton boys’ soccer team (16-0 overall) out of the Class 4A semifinals for five seasons (not including the 2020, COVID-19 season), but the Reds took a bulldozer to it Thursday night at home, leading wire-to-wire in a, 6-1, home, win over Madill to end the drought.

Herrera helps keep CHS near the top

A lot was asked of Clinton soccer senior forward Cassidy Herrera for the 2021 season, not only was she returning from a torn ACL that she suffered in 2019, but also she had to become a leader for a program that graduated the greatest senior class in program history.

Reds open regionals today with momentum

A winning end to the regular season and through the early portion of the postseason has the Clinton baseball team (18-13 overall) in a good spot ahead of its regional opener against Kingfisher (22-11), at 1:30 p.m. today at Blanchard.

The Class 4A soccer state quarterfinals have been reached with relative ease in recent years for the Clinton soccer program, and Monday night at home, both teams advanced to the quarters with blowout wins yet again.

Hunter, Kauk qualify for state tourney

OKLAHOMA CITY – In their first year of varsity tennis, Clinton junior Blair Hunter and sophomore Kenzie Kauk qualified for the state tournament Monday at regionals at the OKC Tennis Center, going 3-2, in the No. 1 doubles bracket and earning fourth place.
