Soccer teams advance past round one

To kick off its hunt for a possible threepeat, the Clinton Red Tornado soccer team set its eyes on the visiting Madill Wildcats while the Lady Reds traveled to take on Chickasha. The Red Tornadoes prevailed in a 6-3 victory ,and the Lady Reds struck late to snag a 2-1 win to advance to the next round.

The Clinton High School boys’ golf team competed Monday in Kingfisher for the regional tournament and was able to have two of its players qualify for state as individuals.

Reds win to advance to regionals

With the season on the line, the Clinton High School baseball team needed to put a well rounded game together to send Plainview packing into the offseason.

The Clinton High School track program competed at the regional meet Saturday at Chisholm High School. The Red Tornadoes and Lady Reds finished the day with 11 top-10 finishes and six of those were top-three finishes to advance to state this Friday and Saturday in Ardmore. The boys finished with a score of 57 for fourth place. The girls finished with a score of 28 to place ninth at regionals.
