Funeral services for Truman Schrock, 82 year old Thomas, OK resident, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, northwest of Hydro, with Rex Yoder, Truman Yoder and Leroy Peachy officiating.
Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery, southeast of Thomas under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas. Visitation on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Truman A. Schrock was born December 11, 1939, to Amos and Lydia (Yoder) Schrock in the Thomas area and passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in his home southeast of Thomas.
Truman was raised and attended Mulberry School southeast of Thomas. He worked with his dad farming. He married Alice Mae Yoder and they made their home southeast of Thomas. He served in Selective Service for 2 years in an Oklahoma City hospital. He married Laura Stutzman on October 22, 1967, in the Zion Church. He continued farming and ranching until his death. Truman enjoyed collecting antiques and visiting with friends and family. He also enjoyed clearing the land of cedar trees, leveling dirt and building ponds and raising livestock.
Truman is survived by his wife, Laura Schrock of their home southeast of Thomas; three sons, Wayne Schrock and his wife, Joan, Freeman Schrock and his wife, Margaret, and Larry Schrock and his wife, Haley all of Thomas; two daughters, Loretta Wingard and her husband, Paul of Thomas and Lisa Miller and her husband, Melvin of Huntsville, AR; fifteen grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; one brother, Joni Schrock of Huntsville, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and sister-in-law, Edith Schrock.
