Western Technology Center (WTC) has announced their new superintendent, Kathe Corning. She is WTC’s sixth superintendent and will be stepping into her new leadership role July 1, 2020, following the retirement of Superintendent Hoyt Lewis.

Summer Playground director Debbie Carlisle has been working with Clinton Public Schools administrators to come up with ways to hold the program this year, but so far only one thing is certain — just like everything else this school year, it’s not going to look the same.

More than $1.3 million in scholarships were offered to Clinton High School seniors this year, and a high number of them are still planning to attend college in spite of the upheavals caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

McCullough named acting city manager

After meeting in executive session, the Clinton City Council unanimously agreed to appoint Gene McCullough as the acting city manager.

CPD honors those its lost

The Clinton Police Department remembers its officers lost in the line of duty, during National Police Week, which runs May 10-16.
