The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) announced the first death caused by the flu in the state. The death occurred in Tulsa County in a patient who was 65 years of age and older. There have been 53 influenza-associated hospitalizations reported statewide.

Turn back hands of time on Sunday

Grady Dlugonski, a fifth-grader at Western Oklahoma Christian School, pulls back the hour hand on a clock to demonstrate that when Daylight Saving Time ends at 3 a.m. Sunday, it’s time to “fall back.”

With Christmas just 53 days away now, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee will hold its annual Christmas Open House on Thursday, Nov. 7, Friday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 9.

Rollover accident

No serious injuries were believed to have occurred in an auto rollover accident early Friday afternoon in the 2600 block of Modelle. Clinton first responders were on the scene and one female juvenile was transported to the hospital.
