OKLAHOMA CITY – District play is unforgiving, and it’s been a tough go early for the Clinton softball team (10-6 overall, 1-3 in district as of press time Wednesday), but it got into the league win column in style Tuesday, blasting Mount Saint Mary, 25-0, on the road.

Tonight’s scrimmage cancelled

Junior wide receiver and strong safety Aaron Seabolt and the Clinton football team’s scrimmage at Anadarko scheduled for tonight is cancelled. Numerous students were quarantined due to exposure to students, who were COVID-19 positive.

CHS goes 2-3 in first five

ERICK – The season started this past weekend for the Clinton volleyball team (2-3 overall), and they managed an even, 2-2 split at the Weatherford Tournament.

WEATHERFORD – The Clinton softball team (9-6 overall, 0-3 in district, as of press time Tuesday) lost its third straight district game to open league play Monday at Weatherford (6-3, 3-0), by a score of 10-0.

Friday night was a breath of fresh air to the Clinton community and football fans everywhere, when the Reds began the season with their annual, three-team scrimmage at the Tornado Bowl.

CHS looks to bounce back

An 8-3 start to the 2020 season put the Clinton softball team on the winning track heading into this week. Even with some of those wins coming against junior varsity squads, it set them up well.

Mark down a major win streak for the Arapaho-Butler softball team, as it swept the Leedey Tournament’s day one games to win its third and fourth-straight contests Thursday.
